Your Privacy

Recommendations for keeping your Class work professional + keeping your personal contacts separate;

There is NO real privacy - no matter what Facebook says.

These recommendations are to help you be present online while guarding your personal infomation...as you choose.

When in doubt - leave it out.  You can always go back and polish information.

1. Gmail set up - use your initials only, not full name + family name, example = CB.Dupont@gmail.com
You will use your class Gmail address for all platform set ups + communication.
2. NEVER use your correct birthdate - on any sign up
3. Google requires your personal  mobile phone number to validate blog + Gmail set up
4. Your profile - how you want to be known next - not full background
5. School and degree OK - don't use graduation year
6. Back up email - recommend using one OTHER than the one with your family/friends contacts
7. Do NOT cross link with Facebook - do not use Facebook to sign into platforms and apps
8. Use a different password - or your common passwork - add the year
9. Profile photos - use an avatar or obscured photo
10. When doing class work in your blog, use a different browser
